“The Scorned Dancer and The Psychiatrist” was a honors thesis written by Meenakshi Manju Sathish under the supervision of Dr. Beth Gargano at University of North Carolina at Charlotte’s English department. It was presented at UNC Charlotte’s 2021 English Graduate English Association Conference. The thesis is an attempt to bring South Asian voices into the global discourse about gothic literature and cinema.
